Grounding Exercise
Take 15 minutes to look at where you are in your life. This is the first step in planning your strategy for making a positive change to your life. In order to create your vision you need to assess your current situation.
Find somewhere quiet to sit down without any disturbances and put pen to paper.
Write down the 5 aspects anywhere on the page leaving space to write around them. These are:
Mind
Body
Spiritual
Creativity
Emotional
Next to each aspect list the way you are personally associated with these terms and how you use this aspect in your everyday life. For example, next to the Mind aspect you could include project work, doing crosswords or reading a book.
Then think about the other ways you would like to utilise that aspect of your life. For example you could include learning photography, being more thoughtful of others or thinking of new ideas for an enterprise.
After you have worked through each aspect take 5 minutes away to do another activity such as making a cup of tea. Come back to your paper and read through your aspects and notice any recurring themes. This is the first step in developing your vision for a balanced, positive life.
